About Me

I’m Shahyaan Adil. This site isn’t a list of achievements — it’s a place for the projects I spend my time on, and the ideas behind them.

In brief

A little
about me

I’m interested in how people see the world differently — and in what happens when they actually sit down and talk about it.

That curiosity runs through most of what I do. It’s at the heart of Gen X Gen Z, the weekly podcast I host with my father, where two generations try to understand each other’s point of view. It shows up in my art, which gives me a quieter, more personal way of working through ideas.

I also try not to take the opportunities I’ve had for granted. That’s what led to the School Scholarship Fund — a small project run by a few young students, with the aim of funding the education of five children.

I’m still learning, and I like it that way. This website is simply a place to bring these things together.

What matters to me

Six things I keep coming back to.

  • Creativity

Making things for their own sake, and seeing where an idea goes.

  • Community

Knowing that the people around us shape who we become.

  • Ideas

    Questioning assumptions, including my own.

  • Conversation

Listening properly, especially to people who see things differently.

  • Learning

Staying curious, and being comfortable not knowing everything yet.

  • Helping others

Using what I’ve been given to open doors for someone else.
